Braised Chicken with Mushrooms

Braised Chicken with Mushrooms
Braised Chicken with Mushrooms is a classic Northeast Chinese dish, believed to have been brought to the Northeast by Shandong immigrants. As a true Northeasterner, this dish frequently graces our family table. I remember it was even featured by Zhao Benshan in one of his skits during the 2009 Spring Festival Gala. This dish is rich in nutrients, warming, boosts energy, strengthens the internal organs, helps lower blood lipids, blood sugar, and blood pressure, and aids in phlegm clearance, qi regulation, liver protection, and reducing water retention. Nowadays, it is common to pair chicken with hazel mushrooms or potato noodles. I used chicken thigh meat along with hazel mushrooms and potatoes to enhance its nutritional value and flavor! Braised Chicken with Mushrooms features tender chicken and high nutritional value, making it perfect for children to replenish their energy. On the 'Home Taste' day, where we seek the taste of happiness, my husband brought home a bucket of COFCO Fu Lin Men hometown-flavored peanut oil from the supermarket yesterday. It has a fragrant aroma and authentic flavor, enhancing the taste of our dishes!
