Baby Food: Pan-Seared Goose Liver with Winter Melon, Shrimp, and Seaweed Soup
Materials
Winter Melon | a small piece |
Seaweed | to taste |
Apple | half |
Cornstarch | a little |
How To Make
-
Prepare the ingredients: coat the goose liver in a light layer of cornstarch, soak the broccoli and dried shrimp in water for 10 minutes, cut the apple into chunks, finely chop the seaweed, and slice the winter melon into small strips for easy handling by baby.
-
Start by boiling the soup: bring water to a boil and add the winter melon, shrimp, and broccoli. Add the seaweed last as it cooks quickly.
-
We use A-grade goose liver imported from France in our shop. Babies can benefit from eating goose liver twice a week for their vision and bone health.
-
In a hot pan without oil, add the goose liver. No oil is needed as it will render a lot of fat on its own! Sear until golden brown on both sides, then drain the excess oil. Leave a little oil in the pan to sauté the apples.
-
This piece is for myself! Enjoy it while hot for the best flavor; the combination of goose liver and apple is simply delightful and not greasy!
-
Plate it up! I've added some cod and seaweed flakes on the rice for extra flavor.
