How To Make
-
In a pan, pour in oil and sauté diced chicken for a few moments. Add chopped onions and continue to sauté. Then add tomato sauce and rice, stirring until well combined.
-
Finally, season with salt and pepper, and set aside.
-
Separate the egg yolks and egg whites of two eggs.
-
Add salt and water starch to each and mix well.
-
Brush a little oil in the pan, pour in the egg white mixture, and cook over low heat until set.
-
Do not flip the omelette; cover with aluminum foil to allow it to steam with residual heat. Repeat the process for the egg yolk mixture.
-
Once the egg sheets are cooked, cut them into evenly sized strips, using chopsticks for straight cuts.
-
Next, start weaving the egg sheets: (1) Lay plastic wrap on the board and arrange the egg yolk strips in order. (2) Fold down the second, fourth, and sixth strips. (3) Place an egg white strip horizontally, then flip the folded egg yolk strips back.
-
(4) Add another egg white strip and fold up the first, third, and fifth egg yolk strips. (5) Continue adding egg white strips, repeating until all strips are woven together.
-
Shape the cooked rice into an oval using plastic wrap and place it on the woven egg sheet, then roll it up in the plastic wrap.
-
Wrap the rice with the egg sheet to hold its shape and set aside.
-
In a pan, add a little oil and sauté ginger slices and garlic. Add shrimp and blanched broccoli, stir-frying until cooked.
-
Season with a little salt and pepper, then remove from heat and set aside.
-
Cut the fish cake into halves and wrap a cooked quail egg in each, using a toothpick to secure.
-
Pan-fry the wrapped quail egg lightly and add teriyaki sauce for flavor before removing from heat. If fish cake isn't available, bacon can be used instead.
-
Place the completed woven omelette rice, shrimp with broccoli, and fish cake quail egg rolls into a bento box. You can add lettuce and cherry tomatoes for decoration. Finally, use a mold to stamp a few flower shapes from sausages to decorate the omelette rice, and you're all done!

Preparing such a bento for your child during spring outings is sure to make other kids envious!
