Stir-Fried Baby Bok Choy with Preserved Meat
Stir-frying baby bok choy without oil or seasoning can be quite bland, especially when boiled plain with dipping sauce. I prefer it paired with preserved meat! It's definitely an intriguing meal, hehe.
Materials
Baby Bok Choy | 5 pieces |
Preserved Meat | 1 piece |
Dried Chili Peppers | 3 pieces |
Sichuan Peppercorns | 10 pieces |
Garlic | 3 cloves |
Chicken Essence | half tablespoon |
How To Make
-
Wash and peel the baby bok choy, then slice it into thick pieces. Boil in water with 1 tablespoon of salt. As soon as it comes to a boil again, remove it immediately and cool it down, draining the excess water for later use.
-
Slice the preserved meat in advance and cook until tender. Slice the garlic and prepare the dried chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns.
-
Heat the oil and sauté the sliced garlic until fragrant.
-
Add the preserved meat and stir-fry until the fat is rendered out.
-
Incorporate the dried chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns, and stir-fry briefly.
-
Finally, add the baby bok choy along with half a tablespoon of chicken essence, and stir-fry for half a minute.
-
Plate the dish.
