During the season when bamboo shoots are on the market, one must not miss the delicious dish called 'Braised Bamboo Shoot Rice' (the recipe will be posted separately later). Today's bento: Braised Bamboo Shoot Rice, served with stewed beef patties, simmered egg custard, blanched komatsuna and kamaboko fish cakes, and boiled carrots and cherry tomatoes.

Materials

Bamboo Shoots 130g
Rice 2 cups
Edamame as needed
Eggs 2
Carrots half a root
Cherry Tomato 1

How To Make

  3. Blanched komatsuna and kamaboko fish cakes. (Note: In Japanese bento, vegetables are mostly served cold, so I prepare them as cold dishes.)
