Single Serving Goji Berry and Ginkgo Nut Quail Soup
Making a single serving of soup is quite the challenge. If you use too few ingredients, it lacks flavor; if you use too many, it's wasteful. Quail is a great option, and pigeons work well too. Freeze them individually, thaw one the night before, and cook it in the morning to enjoy in the evening.
Materials
Quail | 1 |
Cooking wine | 50ml |
Peppercorns | A few |
Goji berries | A few |
Ginkgo nuts | A few |
Salt | A pinch |
How To Make
-
In the morning, wash the quail thoroughly. Add cooking wine, water, and a few peppercorns. For an 800-year-old clay pot with a 500ml capacity, be cautious not to overfill. A 1000ml pot is more suitable; fill it about two-thirds full for safety at the lowest setting.
-
In the evening, the quail will be completely tender. Use a porcelain spoon to stir, and add goji berries, ginkgo nuts, and a pinch of salt. Increase the temperature for the final half hour.

It's time to eat!
