Quick Stir-Fried Celery with Sausage - Even Beginners Can Make It
Materials
Celery | 1 stalk |
Cantonese sausage | 2 |
Green onion | 1 segment |
Ginger | 2 slices |
Garlic | 2 cloves |
Chili | to taste |
Chicken essence | 1 tsp |
Salt | 1 tsp |
Five-spice powder | 1 tsp |
Seafood soy sauce | 1 tbsp |
Sugar | 1 tsp |
How To Make
-
Select one ordinary celery stalk. If using Western celery, just break off the four long outer stalks. After washing, slice the celery at an angle with a sharp knife to increase the surface area for better absorption of flavors.
-
Take two sticks of Cantonese sausage and slice them diagonally into leaf-shaped pieces, about one millimeter thick.
-
Slice the green onion, garlic, ginger, and small chili peppers, and set them aside. You can use small chili peppers or dried chilies; adjust the quantity according to your spice preference.
-
Heat a pan over high heat and add oil.
-
Once the oil is hot, add the green onion, ginger, and garlic to sauté until fragrant.
-
When the aroma of garlic and green onion rises, add the celery slices and stir-fry quickly over high heat.
-
Once the edges of the celery slices turn transparent, add the five-spice powder and seafood soy sauce. If you don't have seafood soy sauce, regular light soy sauce can be used instead.
-
Stir-fry until the celery slices are fully transparent. Add sugar, salt, chicken essence, and chili; stir quickly.
-
Add the sausage slices and stir-fry quickly.
-
Once the fat on the sausage turns transparent, it's ready to be served.
-
Plate the dish and it's ready to enjoy.
