No starch added, the original broth is rich and more flavorful than Haidilao's tomato soup.

Ingredient 2, I didn't have beef brisket at home, so I used a steak instead.

First, sauté the onions to enhance the aroma.

Next, sauté the potatoes and carrots, as they take longer to cook.

Add everything to the soup pot along with water.

Render the fat from the beef.

Sauté the beef in the pot.

Cook the tomatoes until soft, then add some tomato paste and stir.

Combine everything in the pot to cook.

Add the cabbage.

Add smoked sausage.

Season with sugar and salt; I think no other seasonings are necessary.

Simmer on medium-low heat for at least half an hour; the longer you cook, the richer the broth.

Before serving, add cilantro to taste.
