Tangy and Spicy Cold Bracken Salad with Preparation Method
I love eating but I'm not great at cooking. Usually, my stir-fries fall a bit short, but today I tried making a cold dish for the first time, and it turned out surprisingly delicious. I just had to share it with everyone. Hope this helps you all, let’s get cooking together!

  1. Freshly picked bracken is trimmed to remove any flowers and old roots. Place it in water with a bit of salt and gently rub it to remove the fine hairs.

  2. Boil water and blanch the bracken for about 2 minutes once it comes to a boil! After cooking, immediately transfer it to cold water. After cooling, soak it in clean water for a few days, changing the water daily (this effectively removes any unpleasant odors and rumored downside).

  3. I soaked it overnight and then made a small tasting portion! Take out a portion, tear it apart, cut it into pieces, wash it several times, and drain the excess water. Prepare chopped green onions and minced garlic; since I don't like raw garlic, I sautéed it in oil before adding: chopped green onions, minced garlic, salt, sugar, oyster sauce, light soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and chopped chili. Then mix well! Delicious and ready to serve!!

  4. This was my first casual attempt, but since my family doesn’t enjoy it much, I only made a small quantity. It doesn’t look fancy. Haha. I’ll update with more pictures next time I make it.
