10-Minute Traditional Stir-Fried Rice Cakes from Jiangnan

It’s a versatile ingredient often enjoyed in various flavors as a snack or served as an appetizer during festive occasions. Today, we will make traditional stir-fried rice cakes, making it a perfect choice for a quick and delicious meal.
Materials
Rice cakes | 4 sticks (about $0.60) |
Cabbage | half (about $0.30) |
Pork | a small amount |
Garlic | 2 cloves |
Chopped green onions | a pinch |
Salt | to taste |
Mala seasoning | to taste |
Chili | to taste |
How To Make

Heat some oil and fry an egg. Set aside.

Without cleaning the pan, add some oil and start frying the pork.

Fry until golden brown and then add minced garlic to sauté.

Add the cabbage and stir-fry for a moment.

Stir in the cut rice cakes.

Pour in about a small bowl of hot water around the edges of the pan and cover for 1 minute.

Uncover and add a suitable amount of chopped chili for some heat, especially great for summer.

Add 2 teaspoons of salt.

Add a suitable amount of 'Mala' seasoning and stir-fry.

Add the previously cooked egg, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and a dash of cooking wine, continue to stir-fry until dry.

Finally, toss in some dried shrimp and stir-fry a few times before serving.
