Spicy and Refreshing Cold Houttuynia Cordata

Spicy and Refreshing Cold Houttuynia Cordata
This morning, I went shopping and craved a spicy cold dish, so I bought some Houttuynia cordata (also known as fish mint). It reminded me of the dishes that my colleagues and I used to bring to work over a decade ago, making my mouth water! Recently, I've been really tempted while trying to lose weight. This dish of Houttuynia cordata mixed with wrinkled peppers is a recipe from a friend's husband who is a chef. If you love spicy food, this will be unforgettable! It's refreshingly spicy.

Materials

Houttuynia cordata 150g
Vinegar 1 tablespoon
Chili oil 1 teaspoon
Salt 3g
MSG 2g

How To Make

  1. Cut the Houttuynia cordata into small sections about 3 centimeters long. You can also wash them thoroughly and chop them up.

  2. Prepare the wrinkled peppers (avoid using long green peppers as they may overpower the dish with their strong flavor).

  3. Finely chop the peppers and set aside; this was an accidental cut that looks just like a rainbow 😊.
